The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK posted two videos of interviews that were made in New York when Mew were finishing the album at the legendary Electric Lady Studios. Jonas Bjerre and Bo Madsen talk about the upcoming album in Danish, but unfortunately the clips are not subtitled in any language. In the first clip they…

Yes, we all have heard it. Mew 5 (as we currently like to call it) was supposed to be out on the shelves next month, but according to the Danish music magazine Gaffa, it has been postponed ’til August. These kind of delays have been very common in the world of Mew. Rumour has it…

More dates have been announced by Nine Inch Nails‘ official tour site and by Mew‘s MySpace. Mew will also support NIN in Germany, France and Luxembourg – at least. So far the confirmed NIN-shows are as follows (right now it looks like the UK shows are the only ones with Jane’s Addiction performing as well):…

Mew have not confirmed any of these dates (yet?), but Last.fm is fairly certain that the Danes will support Nine Inch Nails with or without Jane’s Addiction at least in The Netherlands and UK the following July. Apparently Mew will play in Amsterdam on July 8th, Manchester on July 14th and London on July 15th.…

The first UK show for 2009 has been confirmed. Mew have been announced to Latitude Festival held in Henham Park, in the small town of Southwold (Suffolk, England). This is one of the largest festivals in Belgium – gathering approximately 150 000 attendees per year and having over 200 acts performing. EDIT: CANCELLED!!!

Seems like we get tour dates all the time. Sweden has now been added and therefore the whole Nordic region is pretty much complete. Mew will play at this year’s Storsjöyran Festival held in the town of Östersund in the middle of Sweden. The Danes were supposed to play “Yran” already in 2006, but had…

Good news for all Norwegians (and/or Western Swedes). Mew will play at this year’s Øyafestival in the city of Oslo. The gig takes place on the same week as the previously announced Beatday-gig in Copenhagen. Mew will take the stage in Oslo on August 12th and it will be their ONLY summer festival in Norway…

Chicago (state of Illinois) is called the “Windy City”, but apparently it’s no windier than most American cities. The city of three million inhabitants is one of the most polluted areas in US, though – Mew are surely going to bring some fresh air to Chicago when they take the stage at this year’s Pitchfork…

It was not a big surprise that Mew would be booked to Roskilde Festival in Denmark this summer. The biggest rock festival in Nordic region has always been a significant supporter for local bands and Mew have played there many times before – even a decade ago when they were considered to be a small…
